Day 6 Alferce, Silves, and Luz Portugal
Today we drove out to Alferce for a short hike over a narrow suspension bridge. The hike was on a boardwalk with lots of stairs. We encountered a bit of drizzle and rain but it was short lived. After the hike we found a very nice little winery and stopped for a tasting and purchased a nice bottle of Syrah. After the winery we headed into Silves for lunch at a BBQ place, not a BBQ place with meats and sauces but with fish, chicken and other types of seafood. Janice and I had the sardines, Donna had the chicken, and Bill had a very differently prepared piece of Dorado. All were good but Donna's chicken was a bit dry. After lunch we headed to an English style pub in Luz to watch Bill and Janice's friends play music for a few hours. We even danced in the street for a bit! Fun was had by all. After that we went back to the house for a glass of wine and went to bed. We have to wake up early to finish packing and catch the train to Porto at 7:30 am. Here are today's pics.
