Day 10 Lisbon
Today we awoke and got ready for our city tour on the bus. Breakfast had few options for food but it filled the hole. Then we boarded two separate small buses and went on a tour of the city stopping at different landmarks thoughout. Our guide was very knowledgeable, spoke very good English, and taught us a little more Portuguese. After the bus tour, we met up with Joe and Cindy's friends and went on a walkabout. We found a nice little local sandwich shop for some lunch. After lunch we all walked down the Avenue Liberdade and made it all the way down to the water where we said goodbye to Joe and Cindy's friends. We eventually made it back to the hotel to catch the bus for dinner and a show. The food was fantastic but the first set of Fado singers was about as much as Donna and I could handle so we decided to walk back to the hotel which was less than half a mile. We actually walked a little farther because we got turned around. After restarting my maps app, I forgot to switch it to walking so we were following the driving directions. We had a good laugh and made it back to the hotel bar before the group did. According to Joe, they had to sit through two more sets of Fado singers. He said they should have left with us. LOL. Here are the pics from today.
